Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Carlos Gonzalez.
Juan Carlos, founder of J C Consulting, lives in Boston’s South End neighborhood, a place he has called home for over ten years. His is a compelling story, beginning in Puerto Rico where he was born and raised, and where he studied Engineering and Science. In 1999, he moved to Boston, where he first began to learn English and enrolled in business school. Juan Carlos started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 2000 at AstraZeneca. He has held a number of roles since, in both biotech and pharma, most recently in domestic and international external vendor compliance as a Senior Compliance Auditor at Vertex Pharmaceutical. Juan Carlos has a well-recognized reputation for having uncompromising attention to detail and customer satisfaction, especially in the management of outside third parties.
His years of corporate management, procurement, and community focus are now being effectively applied to his consulting business, where his clients benefit from his organizational skills and field savvy. He is the go-to person for projects that simply must get done, on time and on budget.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The business has grown steadily but slowly since launch. It’s hard to broadly market my services effectively because of the personal nature of my role. As a result, growth has come almost exclusively through recommendations from existing clients or people that have found, and followed, me on social media over an extended period of time.

At JCCONSULTING we manage home renovations, relocations and events. My clients are very busy individuals who don’t have the time to make constant trips to design showrooms, set appointments or have constant meetings with contractors. That’s when I come in and orchestrate the entire process for them.
What sets me apart from others, I have an eye to bring colors, design and concept together. In addition I’ve created a very unique relationship with every client and I treat every project as if it was my own.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up surrounded by a very caring and loving family and friends.
I’ve always had a passion for work and projects. I felt the adrenaline every time I was busy or involved on a project. I’ve always loved starting with a concept and watching it evolve overtime knowing that I’ve put my personal touch on it.
